Pediatric populations face a unique set of obstacles during the stages of infancy and childhood. With limited thermoregulation capabilities compared to that of the adult population, providing heated and humidified respiratory support is essential for both energy conservation1 and natural defense mechanisms2 and for enhancing patient comfort and therapy tolerance.3
The information below relates to the F&P 950 pediatric-specific circuits. Healthcare professionals can also use a combination of adult and neonatal circuits to treat pediatric patients on the F&P 950 System. Contact your local F&P sales representative for more information.
When a pediatric circuit is connected to the F&P 950 System, the device can support therapy delivery in user selectable Invasive, Mask or Optiflow™ (nasal high flow) modes.
