Foundation Lead

Neerali Parbhu


Neerali is the inaugural Foundation Lead, joining when it was established in 2021. She has been at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare for seven years, mostly in research and development roles. She started as a graduate to become a Senior Product Development Engineer and then an OEM Product Manager for International Sales. As a child, Neerali was very sick in hospital and her family were supported by charities during that challenging time. From a young age, Neerali's parents instilled the value of giving back. She considers her role as a privilege, to enable others to thrive while challenging her own thinking. Born and raised in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland to a close family of Indian heritage, Neerali serves on the board of trustees for Kiwibots and the management committee for Camp Quality Auckland/Northland. She has a Bachelor of Art and Design major in Product Design (Honours) and Masters of Philosophy (First Class Honours).

Toni Moyes - Chairperson

Toni is the Chief Operating Officer of wealth development platform Sharesies and has served as a Future Director with the Fisher & Paykel Healthcare Board. She firmly believes in the power of local communities making a difference in people’s lives and credits this support, at the right moment, in her own journey. Toni has held several roles in early and growth stage technology companies and in economic and environmental policy. She has represented New Zealand on the APEC Business Advisory Council and co-chaired the Digital Working Group there, co-founded a peer mentoring group for women in leadership, been part of the selection team for the Edmund Hilary Fellowship, and a member of the college of assessors for government scientific research funding. Toni graduated with a Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Laws from the University of Canterbury, and Master of Laws from the New York University School of Law. From sunny Tauranga, Toni currently lives in Te Whanganui a Tara, Wellington, with her partner Carlos and their son Coen.  


Dr. David Galler

David was an Intensive Care Specialist at Middlemore Hospital, where he worked for 31 years, and a long-time collaborator with Fisher & Paykel Healthcare engineers when it was a small medical division of the original appliances company. David has held several leadership roles within the Counties District Health Board (DHB) and wider health sector. For seven years, he was an advisor to ministers and director generals of health, VP and President of the Association of Salaried Specialists, and co-founded the carbon reduction programme at Counties DHB. David also worked in Samoa to establish an intensive care service and tele health service to better care for infants and children with acute reversible disease. More recently he has been working to develop the Health Charter and developing the carbon reduction programme for Health NZ. David is an author, public speaker and board member of the NZ Portrait Gallery, Health Coalition Aotearoa, the Middlemore Foundation and Take My Hands.


Mataroria Lyndon (Ngāti Hine, Ngāti Whātua, Ngāti Wai, Waikato)

Mataroria is a clinician and academic who has a number of governance roles spanning health, academic and sport, including the board of Te Aka Whai Ora Māori Health Authority and Pūtahi Manawa Centre of Research Excellence for heart health. Dedicated to health equity, he was previously Deputy Chair of Te Hiringa Hauora Health Promotion Agency NZ and a board member of the Northland District Health Board. Mataroria is also the co-founder of Tend Health and a senior Lecturer in Medical Education at the University of Auckland. He was previously Equity Lead at Mahitahi Hauora PHO and a medical lead for Māori Health at Counties Manukau DHB. He completed his Master of Public Health at Harvard University as a Fulbright Scholar, and his PhD is focused on medical education. He was also awarded the Deloitte IPANZ Young Professional of the Year.


Rachel Petero (Waikato Tainui – Ngāti Tamaoho, Ngāti Whawhakia, Ngāti Te Ata, Ngāti Tahinga) 

Rachel is a multifaceted leader and entrepreneur dedicated to advancing gender equity, diversity, and inclusivity through her governance, business, and community roles. Currently, she serves as co-chair of Te Ohu Whai Ao Trust, trustee of Ngāti Tamaoho Settlement Trust, vice chair of UNICEF Aotearoa New Zealand, and director of Te Rau o Te Korimako. Rachel also advises the Otara Bluelight Committee's Te Huringa o te Tai o ngā Wāhine programme. With international training in human resources and coaching, she founded Rise Global to empower indigenous women and families through her award winning development programmes. Rachel has authored 'Take Your Space' and launched IWI Indigenous Women in Industry in 2024. Together with her husband, she invests in business and property development, aiming to leave a legacy for their six nieces and nephews.


Marcus Driller

Marcus is Vice President Corporate at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare and in his role looks after the company’s legal, communications and investor relations teams. Marcus joined Fisher & Paykel Healthcare in 2009 as an in-house lawyer and since that time has been heavily involved in their corporate social responsibility activities. Being a South Auckland boy at heart and living in Papatoetoe, he is passionate about improving outcomes for our most vulnerable people in the South Auckland community. He was involved in establishing the Tableside Charitable Trust in 2007 which was formed to connect communities in the Auckland region and currently serves as a trustee on the 24-7 Youthwork Trust. Marcus received his Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Auckland, he holds a legal practicing certificate and is a certified investor relations officer. Marcus is married to Toni and they have three kids. He enjoys water-skiing, swimming, travelling, and playing the guitar.


Kiri Henare (Te Arawa, Ngāti Rangiwewehi)

Kiri is General Manager of Human Resources (NZ) at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare and has been in this role since 2016. She has significant human resources experience over many years at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare and in other large organisations in Aotearoa New Zealand. Manaakitanga (showing care and respect to others) is one of Kiri’s core values, and she is inspired by the Foundation’s purpose to serve those who are underserved and underrepresented in health and STEM. As a trustee, Kiri is excited by the opportunity to support people in need, particularly with health support, an area that has impacted her own whānau members. She was instrumental in sponsoring our partnership with First Foundation and has played a key role in developing Māori employees, improving cultural competency, and supports diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. Kiri is married to Wiremu and they have two daughters, Miriama and Pania. She loves spending time with whānau and friends, running her girls to sporting and social events and learning te reo. 


Kevin Pearson

Kevin is General Manager of Product Group Operations at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, a position that enables him to work with R&D and manufacturing teams right across Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, supporting the development and production of products that improve patient care and outcomes. He holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Biochemistry and has been with Fisher & Paykel Healthcare for seven years, initially as part of the legal team. After spending several years working with a cancer charity in the UK, Kevin has seen what can be achieved by bringing together and supporting people that are motivated to improve outcomes for others. As a trustee of the Foundation he is excited about the opportunity to continue making a positive impact by supporting the amazing work people do in our communities. Kevin has two very energetic young children that keep him busy, and he enjoys trail running, diving, snow sports and anything that gets him outside and into nature. 


James Tuck

James is General Manager of International Sales Operations at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare and is involved directly in helping local organisations to rise to the challenge of improving healthcare on a global scale. James joined Fisher & Paykel Healthcare in 2013 and hails from Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland. His motivation to join the Foundation stems from a desire to try and help bring about better solutions and outcomes to big, complex issues around health, education and the environment alongside people at the coalface and giving it a go. James holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Diploma of Commerce and is a chartered accountant. His wife is an oncologist and they have three children under eight years old. With a busy household, James cites his favourite hobby as “repeating himself” and enjoys surfing if he has any spare time.
